NASCAR qualifying today: Corey Day to start 11th in Saturday O'Reilly Series race; Kyle Larson second

LAS VEGAS - The season's first race at a non-drafting, 1. 5-mile track will bring promise and good memories for Corey Day . NASCAR O'Reilly Series practice and qualifying were held on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway , giving drivers and teams their first laps of the 2026 season on an intermediate track. Driving the No. 17 HendrickCars. com Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports , Day turned in a lap of 29. 816 seconds, good enough to earn the 11th spot on the starting grid.
